Street & busking Festivals

I expect travel, accommodation, and food to be covered as part of my arrangement. I prefer to travel with my fiancée when possible and ask for a double room when she is able to join me.

As I am currently based between the USA and Europe and travel often, my location of departure and return will be dependent on the time and circumstances of the festival and my previous and following bookings.

Show Description:

My street show is in a circle show format and is fifteen minutes in length.

Other options besides the street show format may suit your event - for example, a stage act or strolling performance.

Required Space

Ideally, 7 meters of vertical height for the full range of my juggling throws. My performance area should be 5 meters by 5 meters, plus ample room for the audience.

Set Up / Tear Down

I can set up and tear down within five minutes.

Equipment

I have a simple set up: 7 juggling balls, a rope, and a speaker. I come with my own speaker for my show music, however, if it is possible to connect to a larger sound system I am always happy to do so.

Weather

Due to the technical nature of my show, I cannot perform in medium to heavy rain.

Luther Bangert was born and grown in the farmlands of the USA in a small town near the banks of the Mississippi river. Always taken with the unusual and enchanted, he developed a fascination with juggling at the age of 19. It ran deep, carrying him into the rich world of circus. Years of personal practice and development later, performing and traveling have led him to find other juggling, circus and movement communities around the world.

To Luther, juggling is both dance and martial art, a wondrous means of transferring spirit and sense to objects while exploring relationships with them both physically and philosophically. He performs both technically and fantastically, drawing on his movement experience, fusing the patterns of juggling with the organic movement of the body to flesh out fresh expression and depth.

Luther has performed with the Great Bombay Circus in India, has a degree in philosophy, holds a Guinness World Record for “Most Things Juggled Whilst Sword Swallowing”, and has performed in twenty countries across four continents in the last nine years. Most recently he has premiered his contemporary show ‘Distillations’ and is currently on the road with this show and his other acts.

Street Festival :

Juggling Stage Performance – $800

Ambient/Walkabout Juggling – $200/hr ($600 minimum per event)

These prices are meant as a guide, please feel free to start a conversation with me about your event and your budget. My prices may ask vary based on the magnitude of the event, or for weekend / busy performance season rates.

Busking Festival :

Fee and compensation to be decided based upon the event.
